What Do Daycare Workers Wear?
Many people have this belief about home-based business owners.
They believe that work at home entrepreneurs like you and me have the luxury to wear whatever we want while working from home.
And yes, there is truth to that belief.

Since we are our own boss, we can choose to work in whatever outfit we please. If we really wanted to, we could spend our entire day working in pajamas.
Also, we wouldn’t even have to brush our hair or put on makeup if we preferred it that way.
This is our business! We can manage it looking however we want.
But in all seriousness.
How productive and successful would you feel throughout the day if you didn’t even change out of your pajamas or sweat pants?
I know these are two comfortable options, but unfortunately, they are not the best options for a business person like you and me.
Instead, as childcare providers, we are better off wearing something that looks professional but still gives us the flexibility to play on the floor, get messy, and chase around little kids.

I don’t know about you but looking professional does have a positive effect on the way I feel about myself and my business.
And just like we take pride in creating the best daycare environment in our home, we need to put our best self forward too.
Remember in this business we sell ourselves too! And as the saying goes, we need to dress for success.
Don’t worry. This isn’t hard to do.
I will share with you five easy ways you can dress for success and still feel comfortable when caring for children.
Here are my top suggestions for what to wear as a childcare worker.
5 Ridiculously Simple Ways to Dress like a Professional Daycare Provider
1. Polo shirts
For a classic look these polo shirts are the best! They are easy to throw on with a comfortable pair of denim jeans, black pants, trouser shorts, cargo pants, etc.
Get some in your brand colors, or a few in different colors and wear one every day of the week!
2. Scrubs
Scrubs like these are a great option too! Not only are they comfortable to wear, they are available in different colors and cute prints.
You can choose to use scrub tops paired with comfy jeans or complete the whole outfit by purchasing the matching scrub pants. Whatever you prefer!
But I think that the scrub top and pants give the person wearing them instant credibility. Don’t you?
3. Apron with pockets
As child care providers, this is perhaps one of the best aprons you can use during daycare hours. The apron looks good, it’s comfortable, and it will protect your clothing from getting messy.
Also, the front pockets are an added convenience. You can put all the little misplaced toys or things you find around your daycare space inside them.
4. Graphic Child Care Teacher Shirts
Tees with child friendly messages or characters are a nice addition to your daycare work clothes. They are cute and comfortable!
5. Tops with your daycare logo

Go to Vista Print or other similar sites and order a few shirts, and sweaters with your business logo and information printed on them. Wear them during daycare hours, or when you go out into your community.
Shirts with your business information on them look professional and will also help get the word out about your business. Hey, you never know who might be looking for daycare services.
So wear them consistently!
